Exploring the relationship between considered design and a more Avant Garde style, my work aims to blur boundaries by designing metamorphic garments – not quite human, not quite animal. With an ethos that centres on the fusion of 'avant guard' design with craftsmanship, creating bold imaginative looks, that push boundaries within fashion. Strongly focusing on considered design, through innovative conceptual ideas, my work is conflicting for the wearer. We take such care and control with our hair but as soon as it’s in the wrong place it’s an issue. My work suggests that our reactions to silhouettes, textiles or fabrications in the “wrong” place is uncomfortable but also obsessively intriguing. A completely customisable collection – each piece can be removed and attached elsewhere. Each piece can be re-moulded and re-braided creating a completely circular, zero-waste collection.
