WOMAN. LIFE. FREEDOM.

SARA AYATOLLAHI

Location: London , United Kingdom
University/College: University of Brighton Specialisms: Womenswear, Pattern Cutting
Womenswear designer with a keen eye for detail, strong draping abilities and deep interest for pattern cutting. By interning in both design and production positions throughout my Placement year at Maria Grachvogel, Roksanda and palmer//harding, I have discovered my passion for the luxury sector, deepened my knowledge about the fashion industry and advanced my technical abilities. My industry experience within different scale brands helped me acquire a wide range of new skills and connections. My graduate collection focuses on freedom of choice, pushing boundaries of what is imposed as acceptable attire for women and allowing for modesty in an age where exposure is encouraged. Colour was informed by landscapes in Iran, while luxe fabrics and trims were chosen to represent the beauty and extravagance of Persian culture and history. For career prospects, I envision myself working as a creative pattern cutter and developing a range of styles, as my personal aesthetic is versatile. Working systematically, I am naturally resourceful, using materials in a practical and sustainable way.
