The Worshipful Company of Framework Knitters – Knit Bursary 2024 – Highly Commended My collection is inspired by the beautiful contours of British seascapes. It is made with 100% British wool, chosen for its sustainability and low carbon footprint. It is renowned for its quality, durability and warmth. Traditional cable knits were of particular inspiration due to the individual meanings of each pattern, which create narratives within each garment. I am proud to have created my collection using only natural fibres. My collection is 100% biodegradable; these garments are made to have a long life, to be mended, loved and renewed, but when their life is over, they can be composted and will biodegrade without causing environmental harm. Designed thoughtfully to hang fluidly and get better with each wear, my work is informed by my relationship with nature, having spent my life surfing, scrambling the coastline, hunting for secluded beaches and wild camping. Being outdoors and close to nature is good for you, it makes you happy - I seek to express that happiness in the clothes I make. My clothes are for free spirited people who care less about buying lots of things and more about living a joyful life, who want clothes in which they can run and jump, climb and dance. I am an adept and creative knitwear designer, highly skilled with CAD (Adobe) with strong communication skills who enjoys working in collaboration with other designers.
