I am a fashion designer specialising in womenswear, with main interest in textiles and digital fashion. I have skills in pattern cutting, sewing, screen printing and a variety of digital softwares including CLO3D, Substance Painter and Blender. My Final Major Project is named “Sweet Memories”, inspired by the candies I ate during my childhood. As a Spanish-born Chinese, I grew up conflicted by my mixed cultural identities. Eating both Chinese and Spanish sweets was one of the few moments I felt like any other Chinese or Spanish kid. With mixed techniques of sublimation and screen printing, I was able to develop a series of playful and experimental textiles that would elicit the joy and nostalgia of childhood candy. For my promotional work, I created a short digitally rendered video of an avatar being ‘packaged’ into the outfits though a food factory conveyor belt.
I am always looking for new opportunities, which is why I have entered many competitions including the Louis Vuitton design competition, for which I was selected a semi-finalist. I am also holder of a SYKY (a platform for luxury digital fashion designers) keystone that was awarded to 50 emerging fashion designers.
Achievements:
