Mare di Moda 2024 - Intimates : semi-finalist Salacia is a playful collection that draws inspiration from the allure of the sea, the idea of illusion and what we wear underneath our clothing. This Spring/Summer evening wear collection celebrates sea salt goddesses by merging evening wear and swimwear and re-imagines what can and cannot be shown in a formal setting. The collection is composed of eight looks that incapsulate this, and the essence of illusion created by the ocean. The designs are characterized by undulating shapes that mimic the push and pull of the tides; shimmery, sheer fabrics, intricate cut-outs and layered pieces, along with metallic accents that evoke the silver glint of the water's surface. As a designer, Lucia is particularly interested in swimwear and underwear, and combining these elements with luxury evening wear. By designing pieces to be sophisticated with a funny twist, she creates garments that turn classic silhouettes into risqué statements.
